Business Analyst

Position Overview:

The position is for a Business System Analyst to support the implementation of an Electronic Health Records (EHR) solution. It requires clinical healthcare experience and expertise in business systems analysis following industry best practices.

Duties:

  • Support the EHR program implementation.

  • Collaborate with clinical staff and IT leaders to translate clinician requirements into specifications for the EHR solution.

  • Define Health IT requirements for clinical disciplines in alignment with the strategic plan and unit mission.

  • Provide business analysis on clinical processes, workflows, and related documentation.

  • Contribute to various phases of project and program implementation, including planning, initiation, requirements definition, systems design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement.

  • Identify and resolve problems effectively in support of Health IT systems.

  • Support production services and systems administration for Health IT applications.

  • Implement downtime readiness procedures and internal reporting on system response time and service levels.

  • Ensure compliance with project management standards for application development, enhancement, and deployment.



Required Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, analysis, and tracking

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in systems/integration/UAT testing, including planning, execution, resolution, and reporting

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in process/workflow engineering and analysis, including workflow diagramming (e.g., Visio), use case documentation, and policy/procedure analysis

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with large system implementations involving complex solutions and integrations

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with Microsoft Office/365

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with at least 4 years of experience


Preferred Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience leading workgroups

  • At least 3 years of experience in a health system or clinical setting, including familiarity with HIPAA regulations

  • At least 2 years of experience with project standards and requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience defining schedules, milestones, and metrics
