Position Overview:


We are seeking a skilled Desktop/Technical Support Technician to provide end-user IT support, hardware configuration, and network troubleshooting for a growing healthcare facility and nearby satellite offices. This role involves supporting approximately 200 devices and includes tasks ranging from mobile device setup to infrastructure monitoring and on-site technician oversight.

Duties:
  • Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and related peripherals

  • Troubleshoot and support Android and Apple mobile devices

  • Support Ethernet-based LAN/WAN environments and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

  • Administer and troubleshoot email systems including Google Suite, PST files, calendars, and distribution lists

  • Perform basic IT inventory control and generate related reports

  • Configure and troubleshoot analog and digital phone systems

  • Set up and manage network devices including routers, switches, and wireless access points

  • Resolve issues with desktop/laptop hardware, software, applications, and telephone systems

  • Identify and report security vulnerabilities and incidents

  • Track end-user support requests through the ticketing system

  • Monitor and maintain network and computer systems performance

  • Document system changes and create/update training and technical documentation

  • Coach and manage the daily duties of an on-site contracted engineer

  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with users and vendors

  • Travel occasionally to remote sites using personal vehicle (travel expenses reimbursed)

  • Perform additional IT support duties as assigned

  • Lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and climbing as needed


Required Skills:
  • 3 years of basic knowledge in setup, configuration, and maintenance of PC desktops, laptops, and related peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.)

  • 3 years of basic knowledge supporting Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office suite, Internet web browsers, Anti-Virus software, and various other software

  • 3 years of basic experience with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of mobile devices

  • 3 years of basic experience supporting IT presentations using equipment and software

  • 3 years of basic experience with IT inventory control and reporting

  • 3 years of basic experience delivering IT staff training via in-person or electronic media

  • 3 years of basic experience configuring and troubleshooting analog and digital phone systems

  • 3 years of working knowledge and experience with computer application installation, administration, and training

  • 3 years of demonstrating a professional and courteous attitude with customers, team members, and vendors, with clear and effective communication skills

  • 3 years of strong problem-solving skills, utilizing available resources to assess and resolve issues timely

  • 3 years of ability to create clear and understandable IT documentation for technical issues and solutions

  • 3 years of ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions including standing, sitting, reaching, lifting, walking, bending, and climbing

  • 3 years of experience with McAfee Anti-Virus Software, Adobe Acrobat, and other commercial business software products (please highlight on resume)
