Business Analyst
Position Type: Hybrid
Hybrid Schedule: Onsite as needed
Contract Length: 10 months + Extension
This role supports the modernization of a system by assisting with planning, data management, user acceptance testing, and stakeholder engagement. The contractor will also maintain and support legacy systems during the multi-phase rollout of the new solution.
Required Skills:
7 years of experience developing business, functional, and user requirements for IT systems.
7 years of experience with business analysis processes, principles, practices, and techniques.
Experience with the software development lifecycle, with a focus on user requirements and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in English and clearly understood over the phone.
2 years of experience performing similar work in the Child Welfare or other Human Services field.
IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) certification.
Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple IT and data initiatives across project teams.
Track and manage system defects, change requests, and compliance-driven tasks.
Support user requirements gathering, system design reviews, and user acceptance testing.
Develop and deliver status reports, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
Coordinate with program offices to address data quality issues and federal compliance needs.
Provide technical and operational support for business users and applications.
Resolve reported issues and manage incident tickets via ServiceNow.
Collaborate with county agencies, department staff, and contractors to ensure system readiness.
Utilize tools such as Microsoft Office, TFS, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Test Manager.
Lead or participate in meetings, workgroups, and training sessions virtually or in person.
Assist with data-related tasks such as quality assurance, conversion, and federal reporting.
Travel as needed to support implementation and stakeholder engagement activities.
