Systems Engineer

Position Overview:
This role is responsible for software packaging, deployment, technical documentation, and end-user support, requiring strong IT proficiency and experience with Windows systems, SCCM, and CADD applications. The position also involves technical writing, testing coordination, troubleshooting, and adherence to established standards and best practices.
Duties:
Create, test, and deploy software packages for SCCM, with a focus on Autodesk and Bentley products.
Download, prepare, and perform test installations of vendor software.
Determine appropriate installation methods and develop installation scripts using batch or PowerShell.
Validate scripts and deliver completed packages for Software Center testing.
Coordinate with technical leads, business users, and project managers during package testing.
Collaborate with testers to enhance the end-user experience and resolve issues during testing.
Troubleshoot cross-application technical issues and provide end-user software installation support.
Manage and update Active Directory groups related to CADD support.
Research and recommend hardware for purchase as needed.
Provide accurate status updates and maintain strong written and verbal communication.
Work collaboratively with team members and share application-specific knowledge.
Complete tasks within established timelines while following organizational quality standards and procedures.
Develop, refine, and maintain technical documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines.
Perform technical editing of training materials, adjusting formatting and revising text for consistency.
Track and resolve issues, risks, and action items, proactively anticipating potential challenges.
Stay informed of industry trends and emerging tools, applying them to improve processes and practices.
Required Skills:
10 years of experience with Windows Desktop OS.
10 years of experience with Windows Server.
10 years of experience managing and using Active Directory.
10 years of experience with Microsoft Office.
5 years of experience with PowerShell scripting.
5 years of experience in technical writing and editing.
Degree in a relevant technical or IT discipline.
5 years of experience with SCCM for software packaging and deployment.
5 years of experience with Autodesk products.
5 years of experience with Bentley products.
