Position Overview:
This role requires a highly experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure professional to design, implement, and support complex database and middleware environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. The position involves hands-on development, administration, and optimization of Oracle technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Required Skills:
  • 10 years of experience providing on-call production support in complex Oracle environments
  • 10 years of experience with Oracle Database 11g, including administration and support
  • 10 years of experience in Oracle database backup, recovery, RMAN, and Data Guard implementations
  • 10 years of experience in Oracle database performance tuning, maintenance, and overall management
  • 10 years of experience migrating Oracle databases (11g/12c) from Solaris to Linux environments
  • 7 years of experience with Oracle Grid Control, including version 13c
  • 6 years of experience with Oracle Database 12c administration and support
  • 5 years of experience with Oracle APEX administration and support
Prefer, not required:
  • 7 years of experience with Oracle WebLogic 12c / Fusion Middleware 
  • 5 years of experience with Windows, SQL Server, and IIS administration 
  • 3 years of experience with cloud platform setup and administration, including AWS and/or Azure 
Duties:
  • Design, implement, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, including database, middleware, and infrastructure components
  • Develop, enhance, and support Oracle APEX applications and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) integrations
  • Configure, administer, and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server, including patching and ongoing maintenance
  • Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and conversions, including upgrades from Oracle 19c to 26ai
  • Manage container databases (CDB) and pluggable databases (PDB), including PDB cloning activities
  • Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and replication strategies using RMAN and Oracle Data Guard
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection across all environments
  • Monitor database health and performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and implement tuning improvements
  • Automate routine operational tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, and related tools
  • Perform PSU patching and lifecycle management using Oracle Fleet Management tools
  • Support and manage DBaaS deployments within OCI environments
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, providing timely and effective support, including 24/7 coverage as needed
  • Implement and enforce database security best practices and compliance standards
  • Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes where applicable
  • Document system configurations, processes, and best practices, and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams
  • Proactively identify risks and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and performance
