Junior Project Manager
Position Type: Hybrid
Hybrid Schedule: Onsite as needed (at least 2 days a month)

Position Overview:
This role leads complex, cross-program implementation initiatives, ensuring alignment between policy intent and operational execution from planning through launch and stabilization. The Project Manager serves as a central coordinator across stakeholders, driving accountability, decision-making, and timely delivery using structured project management practices.
Required Skills:
5 years of experience leading large, multi-workstream initiatives with external partners and executive visibility.
Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional coordination, facilitate productive meetings, and move decisions to closure.
Experience using project controls and tools, including workplans, RAID logs, RACI matrices, change control, and decision/action tracking.
Proven ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and maintain momentum across competing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including concise status reporting and stakeholder-ready documentation.
Familiarity with government operations, procurement/vendor coordination, or compliance and regulatory implementation.
Experience in Medicaid, CMS-facing initiatives, managed care environments, or health and human services programs.
PMP or similar project management certification.
Experience with Section 1115 demonstrations/waivers or similar federal-state program implementation.
Lead and facilitate initiative workstreams, governance forums, and stakeholder meetings, including preparing agendas, materials, and decision prompts.
Develop and maintain integrated project plans outlining scope, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, owners, and timelines.
Build subject matter expertise in policy, operational workflows, and compliance requirements, translating them into actionable tasks.
Establish and manage project artifacts, including workplans, RACI matrices, RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, decisions), action trackers, and status reports.
Proactively identify risks and issues, drive mitigation strategies, and manage escalation paths to ensure timely resolution.
Coordinate across internal program offices, executive leadership, external partners, providers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.
Support external coordination efforts by organizing materials, tracking commitments, and ensuring follow-through with key partners.
Drive change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communications planning, training readiness, and launch support.
Ensure comprehensive documentation of decisions, including rationale, approvals, and downstream impacts.
Provide guidance to junior project managers, strengthen governance processes, and independently lead complex initiatives with minimal oversight.
