Position Overview:
This role is responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions across enterprise environments. The position requires a strong technical foundation, deep vendor-specific knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic network and security initiatives.

Duties:

  • Design and architect secure network infrastructures that align with business and security requirements.

  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize firewall technologies, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure communication protocols.

  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and threat modeling to guide architectural decisions.

  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of network and security solutions.

  • Lead incident response architecture efforts and contribute to post-incident reviews and improvements.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on vendor-specific technologies and best practices.

  • Document network architecture designs, standards, and procedures for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Utilize network monitoring tools, command line interfaces, and scripting to troubleshoot and optimize network performance.

  • Apply cybersecurity principles, threat intelligence, and mitigation strategies to protect enterprise networks.

  • Support risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response processes.


Required Skills:

  • 5+ Years experience in network fundamentals (TCP/IP, subnetting)

  • 5+ Years experience with firewall technologies and architectures (stateful inspection, next-generation firewalls, Layer 7 filtering)

  • 5+ Years experience with security protocols (IPSec, SSL/TLS)

  • 5+ Years experience using network monitoring and analysis tools (Wireshark, network analyzers)

  • 5+ Years experience with intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS)

  • 5+ Years command line interface proficiency

  • 5+ Years experience with log analysis and SIEM tools

  • 5+ Years experience with vendor-specific technologies: Palo Alto, Check Point, VMware NSX-T, Zscaler
