Position Overview:

The Senior Project Manager will lead diverse project teams to deliver Business and IT initiatives utilizing Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies. This role requires onsite presence two days a week (parking not provided) and involves coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, with a focus on procurement, resource allocation, and meeting deadlines.

Duties:
  • Coordinate vendors and consultants, and business staff as assigned, in the execution of Business & IT projects and related procurements.
  • Coordinate and oversee the development of proposals, statement of work, statement of requirements and RFP responses.
  • Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments and removing roadblocks to their work.
  • Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness.
  • Facilitate multi-disciplinary teams in the development of plans, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for completion of a project.
  • Oversee and manage execution and/or coordination of day-to-day project activities as required.
  • Manage working relationships with key stakeholders, including executive management, business management, vendors, project sponsors, suppliers, and technology management.
  • Track and communicate a project's progress from a schedule, cost, and risk perspective to the project team, customers, and project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external (vendor / Suppliers)and internal technology leads and solution architects to incorporate agency best practices into project plans.
  • Drive consistent project delivery through the entire project lifecycle, including, execution of procurements, definition of project plans, resource allocation, management of project risks, scope, and schedule, delivery of value, and well-ordered transitions to operations.
  • Monitor progress by third-party vendors and define and measure their progress with metrics.
  • Develop and maintain project budget, plans, task lists, schedules, risks, and status, to include resource allocation and schedules.
  • Adhere to project management practices and governance requirements.
  • Facilitates resolution of technical issues
  • Leads and coordinates the scoping, technical requirements gathering, estimating and planning for single or multiple work-streams
Required Skills:.
  • 5 years of strong experience in developing, executing, and managing cloud hosted SaaS implementation projects
  • 5 years of strong experience in working with third party suppliers and products
  • 5 years of strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • 5 years of exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating and team building
  • 5 years of exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to simplify and briefly communicate complex issues
  • 5 years of experience with both Agile and Waterfall project management principles and practices with the ability to blend them together.
  • 5 years of experience understanding processes, recognizing potential issues and consequences of changes during the Software Development Lifecycle
  • 5 years of understanding technology at the level to help represent project team in multiple forums.
  • 4 years of experience with running scrum, kanban or waterfall project management best practices.
  • Hold a PMP Certification through PMI for a minimum of 5 years.
  • 3 years of experience in Healthcare preferred
