Windows Engineer
Contract Length: 2 months (likely extension to 6-12 months)
The role involves managing over 150 Azure-hosted computer servers and 250 Windows desktops, with a strong focus on Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 E5 administration. Candidates must have tolling industry experience and will serve as the SME for the Rubrik Backup solution while participating in a monthly on-call rotation.
Required Skills:
5 years of experience with Windows Server 2019/2016
5 years of experience with Active Directory
5 years of experience managing Group Policies
3 years of experience with Windows 10 administration
1 year of experience administering the Rubrik Backup Solution in Azure
1 year of experience in the tolling industry
Preferred Skills:
3 years of experience working with multiple domains
2 years of experience with Microsoft DNS
2 years of experience with Microsoft 365
2 years of experience with Azure IaaS
Duties:
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop environment
Manage over 150 compute servers hosted in Azure
Oversee 250 Windows desktops (non-helpdesk role)
Utilize and manage Group Policy and Active Directory for desktop support
Assist in maintaining, tuning, and hardening the Microsoft 365 E5 solution
Act as SME for the Rubrik Backup solution
Participate in a one-week-per-month on-call rotation
Troubleshoot issues related to the use of single and/or multiple information systems
Create, install, and modify software across various platforms
Perform software testing and maintain documentation
Interact frequently with employees, customers, technicians, analysts, and specialists
Work independently and complete assigned projects with minimal supervision
