Front-End .NET Developer
Position Type: Mostly Remote
Hybrid Schedule: Rarely Onsite
Contract Length: 9 months + extensions
Position Overview:
The candidate will join a development team focused on building and enhancing a transportation reimbursement system for Medicaid consumers, implementing new features, and ensuring accessibility compliance across digital products. The role emphasizes full-stack development, working closely with technical leads to design, test, and document system enhancements.
Duties:
Develop and maintain web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular 14+.
Build server-side components using .NET Core 5+, C#, and ASP.NET, including MVC or ASP.NET Core frameworks.
Implement and consume RESTful APIs for system integrations.
Perform database development and management using SQL Server/T-SQL, and work with ORMs like Entity Framework or Dapper.
Write unit and integration tests using frameworks such as xUnit/NUnit, Jasmine, and Karma.
Follow responsive, mobile-first design principles to create accessible user interfaces.
Ensure compliance with digital accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and ADA requirements.
Apply design patterns, SOLID principles, and accessibility best practices in software development.
Utilize development tools such as Visual Studio 2022, VS Code, Azure DevOps, and Git for coding, version control, and deployment.
Collaborate with Technical Leads and Application Architects to implement features, troubleshoot issues, and document code.
Incorporate accessibility testing into the development lifecycle and ensure accessibility compliance is part of the “definition of done.”
Required Skills:
8+ years of HTML, CSS, JavaScript; preferred experience with jQuery and Bootstrap
8+ years of Angular with recent experience in Angular 14 or greater
8+ years with testing frameworks; preferred Jasmine and Karma, including xUnit/NUnit
8+ years of .NET Core and C#, with recent experience in .NET Core 5+
8+ years of ASP.NET; preferred familiarity with MVC or ASP.NET Core, and experience with RESTful APIs
8+ years of SQL Server / T-SQL
8+ years working with ORMs such as Entity Framework and Dapper
8+ years using tools: Visual Studio 2022, VS Code, Azure DevOps, and Git
Knowledge of responsive and mobile-first design
Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles
Knowledge of digital accessibility and disability inclusion
Knowledge of regulations related to digital accessibility (e.g., Section 508, ADA)
Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
Experience designing for platform technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, iOS, Android)
Experience applying WAI-ARIA authoring guidelines and best practices
Experience optimizing for accessibility features of the platform (HTML, iOS, Android)
Experience developing digital products that comply with accessibility standards
Preferred Skills:
Experience incorporating accessibility tests into the development process
Experience building digital products where compliance with accessibility standards is part of the “definition of done”
