AV Technician
Position Type: Onsite
Contract Length: 3 months
Position Overview:
Experienced AV technician needed. As an AV technician, you will be responsible for setting up, using, organizing, and installing media equipment such as projectors, microphones, video monitors, and sound boards. You should have advanced knowledge of audio and video equipment, including video conferencing equipment and services. Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills are required.
Duties:
Provide on-site and virtual technical support for VTC conferences and other web conferencing platforms.
Troubleshoot AV/VTC issues and audio/video conferencing-related problems while working directly with customers and other internal technical resources.
Schedule, set up, and monitor point-to-point, multi-point, dry run, and ad-hoc audio/video conferences.
Perform video camera operations, live streaming, and audio recordings.
Perform media editing for customer playback, archiving, and publishing final formats to support special events and conferences.
Set up and operate audio systems for live events and ceremonies, and assist with video production.
Conduct site surveys to determine AV/VTC equipment requirements for customers.
Set up and install permanently installed conference room displays and video conferencing equipment.
Perform administrative tasks such as inventory tracking, checklists, forms, etc.
Provide on-site and virtual desktop support for in-house Electronic Bulletin Board computers.
Lift and/or carry no more than 50 pounds of AV/VTC equipment.
Travel and overnight stays required as part of the job.
5 Years of experience with troubleshooting and managing audio-visual hardware and software, laptops, and wireless devices
5 Years of experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, SharePoint, Gmail, Mac & PC Audio/video editing software
5 Years of high level of customer service experience
5 Years of experience providing on-site and virtual technical support for VTC conferences and other web conferencing platforms, including troubleshooting AV/VTC issues
