Position Overview:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading large, complex IT programs and projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery across technical, business, and stakeholder domains. This role requires strong leadership in both Agile and Waterfall environments, with a focus on collaboration, resource coordination, and executive-level communication.

Duties:
  • Lead the full lifecycle of large-scale IT projects, including initiation, planning, development, testing, execution, control, and closeout.

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact, coordinating across infrastructure, applications, QA, change management, and support teams.

  • Manage stakeholder and vendor relationships to ensure successful delivery and alignment with business objectives.

  • Provide thought leadership in systems implementation, process improvement, and enterprise solution delivery.

  • Define project deliverables and manage sprint planning, project schedules, and backlogs.

  • Create and maintain project documentation including project plans, resource plans, risk logs, metrics, and communication strategies.

  • Communicate status, risks, decisions, and issues to stakeholders and executive leadership.

  • Develop and execute communication plans for both internal teams and business stakeholders.

  • Identify and manage project and resource dependencies to ensure alignment with timelines and goals.

  • Prepare and present materials for executive steering committees and leadership reviews.

  • Motivate and direct cross-functional project teams, ensuring clarity of task assignments and accountability.

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development through coaching and feedback.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

Required Skills:
  • 12 years of experience managing and implementing concurrent, separate initiatives of varying size is required.

  • 4 multi-year project implementations and prior success leading initiatives within an Agile methodology environment are required.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field is required.

  • A PMP, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or other Agile/Scrum Master certification is required.

  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge and success as a team leader, including the ability to motivate, coach, and provide constructive feedback, is required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
