Position Overview:
The Technical Project Lead serves as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that technology solutions align with organizational goals. This role oversees application development activities, drives process improvement, and supports IT initiatives through effective communication, coordination, and leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of IT Project Management experience.
  • 5 years of experience with DevOps and familiarity with Scrum, iterative, and Waterfall development methodologies.
  • 5 years of strong problem-solving experience.

  • 5 years of experience with ITSM tools, including Remedy and ServiceNow.

  • 5 years of strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and translate client requirements.

  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making.

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Broad knowledge of technologies, systems, and business applications.

  • Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices.

  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Flexible, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving technologies.

  • Ability to gather tasks and requirements with security and accessibility in mind.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with modernization projects or legacy system transformation initiatives.

Duties:
  • Plan and facilitate daily stand-ups with the development team to track progress and resolve blockers.

  • Collaborate with section management to assess, define, and implement IT business solutions.

  • Lead incident and change management efforts to ensure application stability and continuity.

  • Maintain and organize the application portfolio, including documentation and inventory.

  • Provide weekly project and task status updates to management and stakeholders.

  • Analyze business requirements and coordinate with developers to estimate level of effort and implementation timelines.

  • Support evaluation and adoption of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.

  • Ensure security, accessibility, and compliance are integrated into all application solutions.

  • Apply DevOps, Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies to optimize development workflows.

  • Utilize ITSM tools such as Remedy and ServiceNow for issue tracking and service delivery.

  • Promote collaboration across technical and business teams, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to support ongoing modernization efforts.
