Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned HCL-focused contractor with 7 years of experience to assess, stabilize, and enhance an existing application environment through detailed analysis, code review, and deployment optimization. This role requires strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving, and the ability to deliver actionable recommendations while transferring knowledge to internal teams.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned HCL-focused contractor with 7 years of experience to assess, stabilize, and enhance an existing application environment through detailed analysis, code review, and deployment optimization. This role requires strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving, and the ability to deliver actionable recommendations while transferring knowledge to internal teams.
Duties:
- Analyze and document current application environments (development, test, production), including configurations, integrations, and system dependencies
- Evaluate existing deployment processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and reliability
- Review and assess application code to identify defects, risks, technical debt, and optimization opportunities, and implement necessary enhancements
- Troubleshoot environment-related issues, deployment failures, and configuration inconsistencies
- Conduct structured knowledge transfer sessions to ensure long-term system maintainability
- Provide best practice recommendations for improving code stability, environment management, and deployment automation
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and identify opportunities for system improvement
- Develop comprehensive documentation outlining findings, remediation strategies, and improvement plans
- 7 years of experience with CI/CD tools or automated deployment frameworks
- 7 years of prior consulting or contractor experience supporting environment modernization or technical remediation initiatives
- 7 years of strong hands-on experience with HCL technologies (e.g., VOLT/IRIS, Foundry)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
- 7 years of experience configuring environments and evaluating application deployment pipelines
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
