Full-Stack .NET Developer
Position Type: Mostly Remote
Hybrid Schedule: Rarely Onsite
Contract Length: 9 months + extensions
Position Overview:
The candidate will join a development team responsible for enhancing a transportation reimbursement system that allows Medicaid consumers to submit travel expense requests and enables administrators to manage and process those requests. The role involves full-stack development, accessibility compliance, and collaboration with technical leads to design, implement, test, and document new system features and enhancements.
Duties:
Develop and maintain backend services and applications using .NET Core and C#.
Build web applications using ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, or ASP.NET Core frameworks.
Design, implement, and consume RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Perform database development and management using SQL Server / T-SQL and Azure SQL.
Implement ORM solutions using Entity Framework and Dapper.
Write unit and integration tests using xUnit/NUnit, with preferred experience in Jasmine and Karma.
Utilize containerization tools, including Docker, and manage cloud services such as Azure Functions, Azure Queue, Azure Storage, Azure Container Registry, and Key Vault.
Develop front-end components with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular 14+; preferred experience with jQuery and Bootstrap.
Ensure responsive, mobile-first design and adherence to design patterns and SOLID principles.
Apply digital accessibility best practices, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and ADA standards.
Optimize applications for platform accessibility features across HTML, iOS, and Android.
Collaborate with Technical Leads and Application Architects to implement features, troubleshoot issues, and document code.
Incorporate accessibility tests into the development process and ensure compliance is part of the “definition of done.”
Support occasional in-person onboarding, meetings, or training as required.
Required Skills:
8+ years of .NET Core and C# for building backend services and applications
8+ years of ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, or ASP.NET Core for building web applications
8+ years of SQL Server / T-SQL, with recent experience in Azure SQL
8+ years of APIs and Integration, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
8+ years with testing frameworks: xUnit/NUnit; preferred experience with Jasmine and Karma
8+ years working with ORMs such as Entity Framework and Dapper
8+ years with containerization; preferred experience with Docker
8+ years implementing cloud services in .NET, including Azure Functions, Azure Queue, Azure Storage, Azure Container Registry, and Key Vault
8+ years front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular 14+; preferred experience with jQuery and Bootstrap
8+ years using development tools: Visual Studio 2022, VS Code, Azure DevOps, and Git
Knowledge of responsive and mobile-first development
Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles
Knowledge of digital accessibility and disability inclusion
Knowledge of regulations related to digital accessibility (e.g., Section 508, ADA)
Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
Experience designing for platform technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, iOS, Android)
Experience applying WAI-ARIA authoring guidelines and best practices
Experience optimizing for the accessibility features of the platform (HTML, iOS, Android)

Preferred Skills:
2+ years’ experience with AngularJS, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL
Experience incorporating accessibility tests into the development process
Experience building digital products where compliance with accessibility standards is part of the “definition of done”
