ServiceNow Developer - Employee Center
Position Type: Hybrid
Hybrid Schedule: Onsite one week per month
Long-Term Contract: 1 year + extensions
The ServiceNow Employee Center Developer will design, configure, and customize the Employee Center portal to unify employee access to enterprise services, workflows, and knowledge. This role focuses on developing high-quality ServiceNow solutions, integrating with other modules such as ITSM, HRSD, and Facilities, and optimizing the portal to deliver a seamless and engaging employee experience.
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience developing and configuring ServiceNow Employee Center.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, workflows, service catalogs, and form design.
Experience integrating Employee Center with other modules such as ITSM, HRSD, and Facilities.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, tracking, and reporting.
Experience conducting testing, code reviews, and quality assurance for ServiceNow development projects.
Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure DevOps (ADO) for project tracking and collaboration.
- Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) OR ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- ServiceNow Micro-Certification: Employee Center.
Experience optimizing portal UX and employee engagement through interface enhancements and content strategy.
Prior exposure to enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.
Knowledge of Enterprise Business Systems, including SAP integrations.
Familiarity with ITIL / ITSM practices and methodologies.
Experience leading or mentoring development teams in Agile environments.
Design, configure, and customize the ServiceNow Employee Center portal to deliver a unified, user-friendly employee experience.
Develop and implement service catalogs, request forms, and workflows to streamline employee self-service across multiple departments.
Integrate Employee Center with other ServiceNow modules including ITSM, HRSD, and Facilities, ensuring seamless service access.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions.
Ensure quality and performance of developed solutions through testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Utilize Agile tools and methodologies (e.g., Azure DevOps) to manage tasks, track progress, and ensure timely project delivery.
Develop detailed project plans and timelines for Employee Center-related initiatives.
Provide regular progress reports and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Document all created work, including functional and technical designs, test plans, and lessons learned, following established templates and standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring stability and optimal performance of the Employee Center portal.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and collaborate with cross-functional technical and functional teams.
Work independently to achieve assigned deliverables and maintain a productive relationship with business owners, sponsors, and vendors.
Ensure all solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business and technical requirements.
