Business Analyst

Position Overview:
The Business Analyst supports the design, enhancement, and implementation of enterprise data systems by translating program policies and regulatory requirements into functional system capabilities. This role collaborates with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure systems meet compliance standards, support operational processes, and provide effective tools for program management and reporting.
Required Skills:
2 years of technical education or equivalent experience, supported by a 2-year college degree or comparable technical study.
2 years of experience with workflow automation, including designing or supporting automated business processes.
2 years of Salesforce experience, supporting system functionality, configuration, or business process implementation.
2 years of experience applying laws, policies, and procedures to business processes or system requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
Competency with Microsoft Office applications, including Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for documentation, analysis, and presentations.
Additional Salesforce experience supporting business analysis, configuration, or system enhancement activities.
Experience working with SACWIS or similar child welfare information systems supporting program operations or reporting.
Experience leading or supporting digital workflow automation projects, including process analysis, design, and implementation.
Analyze program policies, laws, and regulatory requirements to define business and system requirements for enterprise applications and workflow automation initiatives.
Provide program-level technical guidance to development teams and contractors to ensure system functionality aligns with regulatory and operational requirements.
Create, review, and maintain system design documentation, business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
Develop test plans, performance criteria, and detailed user scenario scripts; conduct system and user acceptance testing to validate expected outcomes.
Assist with data migration and conversion activities during system modernization or replacement initiatives.
Support the deployment and implementation of new or enhanced systems, ensuring smooth transition and user readiness.
Produce training materials, procedure manuals, webinars, and user support documentation to facilitate effective system adoption.
Deliver system training sessions and presentations to users and partner organizations to promote compliance and effective use of technology solutions.
Provide help desk support and technical assistance to system users, troubleshooting issues and resolving user-reported problems.
Monitor system usage and user adoption, identifying knowledge gaps or system issues and recommending corrective actions.
Define and manage system access roles and security profiles for organizational users.
Analyze operational and program data to generate reports and support regulatory or compliance reporting requirements.
Identify root causes of system or process issues and recommend corrective actions or system improvements.
Participate in project planning activities, including defining timelines, milestones, and deliverables for system initiatives.
Represent system capabilities and program initiatives during meetings, workshops, and conferences with internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to the development and revision of program policies and procedures related to system usage and program operations.
Prepare reports, presentations, and responses to inquiries from leadership, stakeholders, and external groups.
Maintain project documentation, logs, records, and status reports while supporting ongoing operational and project activities.
