Position Overview:

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for addressing business challenges through process optimization, defining business architecture, and developing business rules, cases, and requirements. The analyst formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs and a deep understanding of business systems and industry standards, while also supporting organizational change and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Duties:
  • Understand and document current business procedures, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Provide hands-on business process requirements analysis in support of Oracle Cloud ERP and related applications.

  • Collaborate with internal departments and external resources to plan, design, and implement financial systems solutions.

  • Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on research and user needs.

  • Transfer business requirements knowledge to application developers.

  • Analyze large amounts of information to identify key insights for process improvement.

  • Identify and address changes in business processes based on new patterns and trends.

  • Gather requirements and translate business needs into IT requirements and functional design specifications.

  • Build trust and facilitate communication between Business and IT teams.

  • Assist in identifying and implementing software solutions.

  • Provide application support for business users.

  • Write functional design specifications for conversions, interfaces, reports, and extensions.

  • Support data cleanup, data conversion, and reconciliation activities.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end activities, including reconciliation.

  • Review design specifications from other analysts and provide feedback.

  • Write white papers and solution recommendations as needed.

  • Support system testing and conduct end-user training.

  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering system limitations and operational time.

  • Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate into system specifications.


Required Skills:
  • 12 years of experience as a Business Analyst.

  • 12 years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

  • 12 years of experience in requirements gathering and documentation.

  • 12 years of experience using MS Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • 12 years of experience with Oracle Financials EBS and/or Cloud Suite.

  • 12 years of experience working as an Oracle Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME).

  • 8 years of experience providing production support for Oracle EBS or Cloud applications.

  • 8 years of experience with Oracle ERP Cloud Project modules.

  • Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud Grants module.

  • Experience with Public Sector implementations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field, or 10+ years of equivalent education and experience.


Preferred Skills:
  • CPA Certification.
