Position Overview:

In addition, he/she will work with the production team to implement any new testing criteria. Essential to the execution of these roles is the collection and analysis of data which is obtained from production or laboratory processes and effective collaboration within the company.

Senior Quality Manufacturing Engineer
Position Overview:
The Sr. Quality Manufacturing Engineer will designs systems by which production quality can be checked in an ongoing process. Essential to the execution of these roles is the collection and analysis of data which is obtained from production or laboratory processes and effective collaboration within the company.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6-10 years of experience providing Quality Assurance support to a department.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- 10+ years of experience with the ISO 9001 auditing process, Advanced Product Quality Planning (AQPQ), developing process control plans, and Failure Models and Effects Analyst (FMEA)
- Six sigma training, preferred.
- Act as the main Quality Assurance resource for department supervisors, focusing on problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Establish, implement, and document quality standards and requirements for product manufacturing and inspection.
- Design and apply methods for process control, improvement, testing, and inspection.
- Work with suppliers, customers, and internal process owners to resolve quality issues and ensure the implementation of effective corrective actions.
- Establish supplier quality requirements and monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
- Support New Product Project teams to provide for smooth transition of New Products into the regular manufacturing process.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Collaborate with suppliers, customers and internal process owners to resolve quality problems and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
- Working knowledge of the Lean / Six Sigma problem-solving methodology.
- Strong computer skills including QA applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
- Support Engineering, Manufacturing and Marketing with product improvements.
- Highlights potential quality issues to management in a proactive manner.
- Responsible for documentation for first article inspections as part of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
