IT Reporting Specialist

Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite
Contract Length: 2 months + extension
Position Overview:
The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing enterprise-level reporting systems, supporting day-to-day reporting needs, and ensuring the stability and accuracy of dashboards and data pipelines. The candidate will collaborate with users to gather requirements and support a wide range of reporting tools and technologies including Cognos, Tableau, .NET, and Informatica.
Duties:
Monitor nightly job completion and overall system health.
Provide end-user support and resolve help desk issues related to reporting systems.
Collaborate with users to gather requirements for reports and dashboards.
Maintain and develop analytics dashboards using Cognos and Tableau.
Design, optimize, develop, and debug data cubes, dashboards, and reports.
Support .NET applications and interfaces used in report generation.
Perform ad-hoc report development as needed.
Design and maintain Informatica ETL workflows.
Support internal and external reporting websites.
Assist in integrating reporting functionality during new system implementations.
Conduct capacity planning and recommend improvements to ensure system performance and reliability.
Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues and improve end-user satisfaction.
Required Skills:
10 years of experience in modeling enterprise-wide data warehouses.
10 years of experience with Cognos 11.7.
10 years of experience with Cognos BI applications, including BI Framework Manager.
5 years of experience with Tableau 10 desktop (certified) and Tableau server as a professional.
5 years of experience as a Tableau developer and administrator.
10 years of experience working with public sector financial systems.
10 years of experience with Informatica 10.
10 years of experience developing with .NET/ASP and Visual Basic.
