Install, configure, maintain, and manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN edge appliances, wireless networks, and cellular-based devices.
Monitor, test, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network problems using industry-standard tools, coordinating with users, service providers, and internal teams.
Assist in planning and designing LAN/WAN network architecture, including bandwidth analysis, capacity planning, and schematic engineering drawings.
Execute network deployments, upgrades, and support change management efforts across the edge networking environment.
Participate in ticket resolution and reporting using ServiceNow or Remedy, ensuring full documentation of network incidents.
Provide tier 2 support for widespread network events and incidents as needed.
Proactively identify network issues and implement solutions, communicating with other networking teams when necessary.
Evaluate and recommend new and emerging networking technologies during hardware refresh cycles.
Ensure networks meet or exceed security requirements and industry best practices.
Create and maintain Visio diagrams and other documentation for existing and new network components.
Support remote IT staff, operations teams, and business partners with network-related issues.
Maintain knowledge of routing protocols, network monitoring tools, and automation solutions.
Lift, install, and configure network hardware up to 50 pounds as needed.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies to improve network performance and reliability.
