Position Overview: This role serves as a Technical Business Analyst responsible for leading requirements gathering, business process reengineering, and solution delivery across complex enterprise systems, with a strong focus on financial operations and customer-facing platforms. The position collaborates closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate needs into actionable deliverables, ensuring successful implementation, testing, and continuous improvement of integrated solutions.
Duties:
Perform Business Analyst activities supporting planning and requirements gathering phases of projects
Facilitate stakeholder meetings to elicit As-Is process flows, business requirements, and operational needs
Analyze and compare current business processes against industry best practices to identify improvement opportunities
Recommend future-state processes aligned with organizational objectives and system capabilities
Translate requirements into Service Blueprints, Business Process Flow diagrams, Agile Features, and User Stories
Support development of technical specifications and solution designs in collaboration with development teams
Enter, manage, and track deliverables within Azure DevOps (ADO), including Blueprints, Features, and User Stories
Visually model business processes and workflows to support stakeholder understanding and solution design
Conduct feasibility studies and assess existing systems for optimization opportunities
Define and document KPIs, including business rules, ownership, and data sources
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business owners, technical teams, vendors, and sponsors
Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions
Partner with development teams to ensure successful solution implementation and alignment with requirements
Ensure project work aligns with PMO standards, methodologies, and governance practices
Develop and execute test scenarios, scripts, and plans to validate system functionality and requirements
Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders during and after implementation
Create, maintain, and manage comprehensive project and system documentation
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex business and technical challenges
Lead and participate in project team activities related to enterprise system initiatives
Work independently to complete assigned tasks and deliverables
Follow established organizational standards, policies, and procedures
Utilize a variety of tools and technologies to perform job responsibilities
Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and organizational objectives
Required Skills:
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst in a technology-driven environment
Experience as a Business Analyst supporting projects of various sizes and subject matter within the government/public sector, ideally across at least three technical areas
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, and Figma
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Microsoft ADO Testing Module
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project
