PMO Project Manager

Position Overview:
The PMO Project Portfolio Manager provides expert guidance to executive stakeholders by assessing complex business and technical challenges and recommending effective, standards-based solutions. This role leverages deep expertise in project portfolio management, consulting, and data-driven analysis to improve processes, technologies, and delivery outcomes across the organization.
Required Skills:
10+ years of project management experience leading and managing complex initiatives
Strong experience in data analysis and reporting to support executive decision-making
Strong experience applying project management methodologies aligned with PMBOK, preferably Waterfall or Kanban
Proficient experience using the ServiceNow platform for project, portfolio, or workflow management
Proficient experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- PMP or CAPM certification (highly desired)
Advise and guide executive-level stakeholders using industry standards and best practices within the assigned area of specialization
Consult with leadership to define business needs or problems and determine appropriate evaluation approaches
Conduct research, studies, audits, and surveys to gather qualitative and quantitative data
Analyze data to identify obstacles, risks, and improvement opportunities across portfolios and initiatives
Develop and recommend business and technical solutions, including process changes, alternative methods, or service redesigns
Provide strategic recommendations and decision support to senior leaders and department heads
Apply project management methodologies (PMBOK), with emphasis on Waterfall and Kanban approaches
Produce clear, executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint
Utilize ServiceNow to support portfolio tracking, reporting, and workflow management
Mentor and provide guidance to staff and leadership on portfolio, process, and governance best practices
Operate independently as a self-starter while maintaining strong attention to detail and accountability
