Position Overview:
The Senior Project Management Specialist will support our client in delivering a large technology project.  In this role, you and a small team will provide independent Validation & Verification (IV&V) services on a two year long technology project that will develop a modernized back-office system. You will work closely with management and the project’s development team to identify and resolve issues that arise during the verification process.

Highly Desired:
Previous tolling or transportation experience, IV&V and quality assurance.


Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on large-scale IT projects.
  • Proven experience in Agile Software Development, IT systems integration, and tolling back-office operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.
Duties:
  • Provide independent oversight on the project’s schedule and financial performance, alignment of project goals, and adherence to the development team’s scope of work.
  • Provide actionable recommendations that can be used by the project team to resolve issues and avoid risks.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and reviews with various members of the client, development team, and corporate management.
  • Manage relationships with the project’s development staff, sub-consultants, and the client’s management team.
  • Produce regular status reports on work plan status, target dates, budget, resource capacity and other ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with management and work groups to develop and maintain work plan documents, proactively identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Must be able to travel to Harrisburg, PA for one week each month as part of job responsibilities.
  • Adhere to contract requirements and comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
