Business Analyst

Position Overview:
The Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, gathering, analyzing, and translating business needs into clearly defined requirements and actionable solutions. This role ensures alignment between business objectives and system functionality through structured methodologies, documentation, and process modeling.
Duties:
Facilitate stakeholder workshops to elicit, analyze, and validate business and system requirements
Develop detailed business requirements, including project initiation documents, success criteria, and quality measures
Create functional requirements that define system behavior and ensure alignment with business needs
Gather and document user (stakeholder) requirements to accurately reflect expectations and guide design and testing efforts
Define and document non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, and usability
Produce report specifications outlining purpose, data attributes, ownership, and execution parameters
Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure requirements are tracked throughout the project lifecycle
Model and document business processes using formal notation such as BPMN
Create visual and graphic representations of complex workflows and business processes
Apply formal requirements gathering methodologies to ensure completeness and accuracy of deliverables
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented
Maintain strong documentation practices with clear, concise, and well-structured written materials
Organize and manage multiple deliverables while maintaining attention to detail and quality
Required Skills:
4+ years of experience using formal requirements gathering methodologies
4+ years of experience developing business, functional, and non-functional requirements
4+ years of experience developing and maintaining a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
Preferred Skills:
- 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)
