Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced IT Business Analyst to join our team for a client placement with a transportation agency. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in business analysis, project management, and IT systems. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to understand their business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and ensure the successful implementation of IT solutions.

Education & Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT business analysis or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) is a plus.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring they are clearly understood and communicated.
• Analysis and Documentation: Analyze business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement. Create detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and process maps.
• Solution Design: Work with IT and business teams to design and implement effective IT solutions that meet business needs. Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between IT and business stakeholders. Facilitate meetings, presentations, and workshops to ensure clear communication and alignment.
• Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure IT solutions meet business requirements. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and address any issues that arise.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend innovative solutions.
