Position Overview:
The Lead Scrum Master will guide the Agile delivery of ServiceNow initiatives, ensuring projects are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities. This role facilitates communication across cross-functional teams, removes roadblocks, promotes Agile and ServiceNow best practices, and ensures the delivery of high-quality, business-aligned outcomes.
Required Skills:
Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead supporting ServiceNow or enterprise IT projects.
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and practical experience facilitating Agile ceremonies.
Demonstrated ability to manage risks, remove impediments, and drive team delivery within established timelines.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure DevOps (ADO) for Agile project tracking and collaboration.
Familiarity with ITIL / ITSM practices and methodologies.
Experience with Enterprise Business Systems, such as SAP integrations.
Prior experience in government or large-scale enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow delivery best practices and cross-functional team coordination.
Guide the Agile delivery of ServiceNow initiatives, facilitating sprints, removing roadblocks, and aligning stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Act as the communication bridge between leadership, developers, and functional consultants, ensuring transparency and alignment on priorities.
Drive adoption of Agile and ServiceNow delivery best practices, ensuring documentation, testing, and knowledge transfer are integrated into each sprint.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into actionable development tasks.
Work closely with development teams to design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions across modules such as Employee Center and Enterprise Architecture.
Identify and mitigate risks, proactively resolving delivery blockers to maintain project velocity.
Conduct code and quality reviews, ensuring adherence to Agile principles, architectural standards, and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Maintain and deliver accurate project documentation, including design diagrams, test plans, impact analyses, and lessons learned.
Develop and present project plans, timelines, and progress reports to stakeholders and leadership.
Track and report Agile metrics such as sprint velocity, burndown charts, and team performance to ensure delivery transparency.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with technology teams, business owners, vendors, and sponsors.
Utilize Microsoft Office 365 and Azure DevOps (ADO) tools for sprint management, collaboration, and reporting.
Work independently and collaboratively to accomplish project goals and deliver value-driven results.
