Enterprise Data Steward

Position Overview:
The Enterprise Data Steward will use business knowledge and technical expertise to develop tools that support data-driven decision-making, monitor program performance, and improve daily workflows. Responsibilities include recommending and documenting improvements to data, systems, configurations, and processes, as well as providing technical support for developed applications.
Duties:
Proactively identify problem areas and facilitate collaborative problem-solving aligned with regulations and policies.
Develop and manage large data sets, integrating data from various sources and platforms.
Lead teams by delegating tasks, motivating members, and achieving desired outcomes.
Work with business units to assess complex business functions and processes.
Engineer business process improvements to streamline operations with a focus on automation.
Manage complex organizational changes and implement programs, policies, procedures, and long-term goals.
Negotiate, mediate, and resolve disputes diplomatically and equitably.
Lead cross-functional teams with diverse backgrounds to successful results.
Develop and manage business and data architecture within an enterprise framework.
Utilize Microsoft Office tools proficiently, with emphasis on Excel (including Pivot Tables), Access, OneNote, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Analyze and manage interrelated project data, including phases, schedules, estimates, and funding/obligation plans.
Required Skills:
8 years of experience developing and managing large data sets and integrating data from multiple sources and platforms.
8 years of proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, SharePoint, and other business intelligence/reporting tools.
8 years of exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
8 years of experience in enterprise architecture, particularly in business and data architecture development and management.
8 years of engineering business process improvements focused on streamlining and automation.
8 years of experience in leading, delegating, motivating teams, and achieving desired results.
8 years of experience collaborating with business units to assess complex business functions and processes.
8 years of knowledge of database development theory, data management, business process improvement, and performance management principles.
8 years of experience in negotiation, mediation, and handling disputes diplomatically.
8 years of in-depth knowledge of state government organizations, their functions, and transportation systems, operations, and procedures.
8 years of applying logic and reasoning to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions consistent with regulations and policies.
